A Supportive Strategy
From the get-go, Mahila, the founder of Life Supports, was extremely open to learning and working together with StudioHawk to optimise the Life Supports website. Our ethos is to serve and help, and it was fantastic to be able to grow Life Supports in its efforts to assist people struggling with mental health and improving people’s lives who are in deep need.
When Mahali came to us we had the clear objective to create a website that served as a platform for patients and counsellors to connect to each other by:
- Improve the site’s page structure by building out location-specific service pages, reworking and relaunching existing pages
- Local & GMB optimisation initiative getting the client involved to capture local presence in SERPs.
- Internally link pages across the website, focusing on pages around bulk-billing psychology and counselling
- Provide content recommendations and research on psychology-specific long-tail keywords

From our keyword research, we found that there was growing interest in niche subjects such as anger management, relationship counselling, and drug and alcohol counselling, as well as searches around location-specific counselling services.

We’ve seen year on year increases in 56% for phone calls through organic search and 113% for form submissions.

Thanks to Mahlia’s openness to work with us and her willingness to learn, we were incredibly humbled to do SEO work for a website that allowed more people to access services to make a difference in their lives. Through this close collaboration, we were able to get the Lifesupports website ranking on the first page of Google search organically and become one of the largest online counselling platforms in Australia.
